The Italian institute for Foreign Trade and the Italian Embassy present the Italian Festival in Sofia, celebrating Italian culture, products and style. The focus this year is to promote businesses offering Italian products in Bulgaria. Major emphases are in the areas of fashion, furniture, food and drink and automobiles. Highlights include the Bulgarian debut of the new Fiat 500 Cabrio and the unveiling of a new monument to Giuseppe Garibaldi by Bulgarian sculptor Georgi Chapkarov in Garabaldi Square.
The program is available online in Bulgarian and Italian. The website includes an online map of locations and establishments participating in the event. The festival runs through June 11.
